02Why this oil?

This BodyGliss oil is not a classic plant based massage oil. The ingredient list has dimethicone and dimethiconol: silicones. That explains why it feels so slick and why the brand also calls it a lube.

The scent is rose petals, and in the brand’s text it is called a Firestarter. The aroma is soft and floral. It suits a romantic evening without smelling like a perfume shop.

The most important thing if you own toys: silicone oil and silicone toys do not go together. If your toys are silicone, keep the oil for skin and use water based lube with the toy.

With 150 ml you have enough for several massages. A little goes a long way because silicone stays slick.

03Massage candle or massage oil?

Two ways to start a massage. A candle sets the mood straight away, an oil is ready the moment you open the cap.

A general guide. Always read the pack of your own product.

This is for you if

  • You want an oil that can also work as a lube.
  • You like a soft, floral scent.
  • You want a massage that stays slick for long.

Skip it if

  • You use silicone toys. The silicone in the oil can damage the material.
  • You want a natural plant based oil. Look at the Sther instead.
  • You prefer a product that rinses off easily with water.

04How to use it

  1. Put a towel down first

Oil and sheets are not friends. A towel spares your bedding.

  2. Warm the oil in your hands

A few drops, rub briefly, then onto the skin. Cold oil is a small shock.

  3. Massage in long strokes

Start on the back, shoulders or legs. Silicone glides for long, so you need little more.

  4. Wash off with warm water and soap

Water alone will not fully remove silicone oil. Soap helps, on fabric too.

05Good to know

  • Contains silicone according to the ingredient list. Do not use with silicone toys.
  • As a lube with condoms, an oil is not a given. Read your condom’s pack.
  • Sensitive skin? Test a small spot first.
